Adult CPR and First Aid – In Person Training

This training is open to people providing support services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Please Note: There is a 5-person minimum to hold the Adult CPR and First Aid training, with a maximum number of 12 participants.
Agencies and individuals will be charged the full registration fee for no-shows and late cancellations. The registration fee will be waived for cancellations made 24 hours or more prior to the start of the training. Substitutions are accepted.

Overview:
The course content includes recognizing and caring for breathing and cardiac emergencies for adults and heart disease prevention. This training also includes an overview of first aid. Skills include Adult CPR, controlling bleeding; caring for muscle, bone and joint injuries; treating burns; and responding to shock. Upon successful completion of the course requirements, students will receive a Participant’s Manual, Quick Reference Guide and an Adult CPR and First Aid Certificate. First Aid and CPR training carries a 2-year certification (for more information see the Red Cross Website).
Please note this training is scheduled to be conducted in person at UW South Madison Partnership facility in the Villager Mall on Park Street. If Covid conditions warrant it, this in person training may be cancelled.
