Mike Hipple, self-advocate
An overview by Mike Hipple, a young man with a physical disability who has used assistive technology and AAC since 1998 to communicate with his family and community. He is an active and engaged member of the AAC community and started the Wisconsin AAC Network in 2015 to help everyone have a voice in the AAC and assistive technology communities. He will share about AAC resources in Wisconsin and at the national level that help families connect and create communities around AAC |

The presentation will provide information about literacy for AAC users and utilizing existing literacy features within current AAC systems. Tips and tricks to use at home in shared storybook reading will be shared. |
