Paul White passed away on June 17th 2025. A memorial service is being held at Olin Turville Park in the pavilion in remembrance and celebration. White was a part of the Waisman Center for 30 years where he founded and developed Waisman’s community outreach program Community TIES. TIES provides behavioral, psychiatric, and crisis support for individuals with disabilities and their families. White also built important seminars on positive behavioral support called Managing Threatening Confrontations. He was instrumental in establishing Waisman’s array of innovative programs that support community inclusion for individuals with disabilities.

An open house/celebration of life for Paul will be held on October 16, 2025 from 3 to 6 pm at the Olin Pavilion (1156 Olin-Turville Ct. Madison, WI 53715). Limericks are welcome.

A short program will be held  at 4:00 PM

Appetizers and refreshment provided

A photo slideshow will be on display throughout the event.

Parking: 
There are several accessible parking spots at Olin in front but also along the driveway that circles
around the park pavilion. Feel free to drop off members of your party in front of the pavilion
and then park your vehicle in one of the lots below, on Olin-Turville Ct or on neighboring city
streets.
Please note:
– Make sure not (!) to park your vehicle in any spots reserved for boat trailers.
– The Capital City Trail Head lot has a 3-hour limit.

Additional parking is available at the Waisman Center Community Outreach 122 E. Olin Ave
office lot (9 min walk following the Wingra Creek path).
