This event has passed.

2238 South Park Street, Madison, WI 53713
@ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
UW South Madison Partnership

Overview:

Relationships are what matter most. We all need people and desire to belong. But what does true belonging and social inclusion really mean and look like? Many possibilities and social opportunities exist yet so many people still feel lonely and are excluded, especially when disability, differences, oversight, and limitations are involved. How do we support and respect social differences while decreasing vulnerability and risk? Genuine relationships are the most important yet many individuals lack reciprocal relationships in the name of safety and  professionalism. What does relational mean with someone we support professionally? How do we support social inclusion, choice, and autonomy for ourselves and others?
